Best of Toronto 2017: Your Ultimate Guide to the City

For those who prefers Toronto to other cities this summer (or just has no choice), here are some activities and places to visit, if you are in the mood to go out.

This month, it’s all about Summerlicious…in other words, it’s all about food. Toronto’s top restaurants offer its guests delicious prix fixe menus. Due to high demand, it is highly recommended to make reservations at least two weeks in advance. Restaurants like Auberge du Pommier, Sassafraz, Momofuku Daisho offer you lunch and dinner for quite a reasonable price ($28 & $48), compared to the amount you would pay on a regular day. When else will you get a chance to have a dinner on the 54th floor at Canoe and not break the bank? Or try Pollo Dona Aurora at Leña Restaurante, a new Latin American spot on Yonge St.?

Since there are so many options and so little time, here are some tips on which places you definitely must visit before Summerlicious ends. Here they are: Bosk, Bymark, Lee, Colette Grand Café, Café Boulud, Bar Buca, Weslodge, LBS. Restaurant, The Carbon Bar, and any other you think are worth a visit.

Now, what about our favourite patios? This summer it’s all about views and pool parties. Thompson and Lavelle are the most popular ones during the daytime, as Cabana pool bar lost its attraction due to weird kind of crowd that goes there. If you know someone at Fashion House (residential building) then you might get an access to one of the best pools in town with our favourite view of the CN Tower. There is also a new cabana club that just opened called Aquário Beach Club, but…it’s in Pickering. Seriously, nobody from Toronto (real Toronto) would go that far for a pool party.

Want something different? Try outdoor Yoga classes, take a class at Toronto School of Burlesque, visit Escape Rooms, go bowling, relax at Hammam Spa, get pampered at Her Majesty’s Pleasure.

It is plus 30 degrees (C) outside and you just want to chill? Go to LCBO, get a few bottles of Rosé, and just enjoy the weather in a good company! Summer doesn’t last long here, so enjoy it while you still can! #GoodVibesOnly
