No doubt, streets are the real runways. Every detail we see there is the embodiment of someone’s personality. What makes us so unique? How to leave a striking impression and a remarkable effect? Is it possible to look marvellous every day? To answer these questions, you have to know the difference between fashion and style. Fashion changes every season, trends come and go, but style stays with us for quite a while. Style is the inner vision of ourselves, how we feel, and how we project it to the outer world. It is personal self-expression, identity statement and uniqueness interpretation.
Fashion is truly around us, it is “in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening”, as Coco Chanel stated. Fashion changes, but style develops. We are all affected by our environment, things surrounding us influence our perspective of the world, new discoveries and experiences can refresh our way of thinking, personality, and attitude. It is natural for people to try different things and pick ones that are best-suited for them personally. We all dress for ourselves first, and then it is for other people around.
It is a matter of combining and mixing new things that designers create every season. You can simply wear what you see on tabloids or you can style your own looks with those things. We all have different bodies, hair, faces, we walk and act differently. One has to remember that what is good for others may not be so good for yourself. There are enough examples of celebrities wearing same dresses but still looking different.
Elegance is a universal criteria for a feminine style. It is internationally acclaimed that Audrey Hepbern, Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, Catherine Deneuve were icons of elegance.
It does not mater what you wear, it is how you wear it.
