During the summer of this year, H&M let it slip that their latest designer collaboration would be with British label Erdem. Founded by Turkish Canadian designer Erdem Moralioglu, Erdem is a luxury label that evokes the spirit of femininity with lush fabrics, luxe prints and impeccable detail. Who could forget his embroidery heavy Spring 2015 collection inspired by 50s drama The African Queen. Erdem is a fashion favourite of celebrities and even royalty. There has been many a times Duchess Kate Middleton has been spotted out and about in an Erdem design.
Bringing the luxury to us less A-listed folk, Erdem has collabed with H&M for the mega retailer’s latest Fall/Winter launch. Since news broke about the collaboration, it’s been quite quiet from both brands. Releasing only a short film of looks to social media pages, many of us were left wondering what the collection might look like. Think back to when H&M joined forces with Isabel Marant and news was quiet as kept until closer to the launch date. Now, with less than a month away from the collection’s drop, fashion fans can finally browse through the collection’s lookbook. Erdem x H&M is filled with pussy bows, animal print, rich florals, romantic blouses and printed sneakers. In addition to the stunning Erdem signatures, the label is also using this collaboration to debut menswear. Stylish men —who like a little high street in their wardrobes — are sure to love the window pane suits, floral accessories and printed tees. With pieces this special you ought to mark your calendars because this collection is coming to H&M stores worldwide and online on November 4th. Until then be sure to browse the lookbook.
