Beauty Tips 101: Find Your Perfect Beauty Subscription Box

Created by Youtube beauty guru Michelle Phan, Ipsy is a unique beauty box subscription because subscribers get to choose what they will receive in their Ipsy bags. Once signed up, subscribers take a beauty quiz to determine what kind of products they are hoping to receive each month, and what kinds of skin needs they have. The quiz asks questions like hair colour and skin type, so each bag is personalized to you.

Subscribers of BoxyCharm will receive 4-5 full-size beauty items (in makeup, skincare, and tools) with each box valuing around $100.

Last month’s box came with:
-an eyeshadow palette by Real Her
-a highlighting glow powder by Artist Couture
-a tapered face brush by Luxie Beauty
-a long lasting lipstick from Ofra Cosmetics
-three sheet masks by Biobelle.

Little Life Box

Little Life Box is a healthy lifestyle box that lets subscribers discover healthy products that are sure to please their palate and wallet. The box features food with ingredients that are locally grown, and cruelty-free, vegan-friendly beauty products.

-Burt’s Bees Ultimate care hand cream
-Himalaya Botanique’s Whitening Complete Care herbal toothpaste
-a Clif energy bar in white chocolate macadamia nut

Each month, Glossybox subscribers receive 5 deluxe and full-size beauty products from around the globe, all in a beautiful, keepsake box.

The brand’s July box, which is arguably their prettiest box yet, features six tropical beauty must haves, curated for subscribers by Glossybox beauty experts. With some variation, the July box contains:
-an NCLA Clean Up Your Act nail lacquer remover pen, for nail precision
-Luseta beauty’s coconut milk shampoo and conditioner, for luscious, fragrant locks
-La Roche-Posay’s Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser, which is never harsh on skin
-Aerin’s bar soap in perfect-for-summer scent Waterlily Sun
-Dr. Paw Paw’s Original Multipurpose Soothing Balm
-a blush and palette from Freematic, which subscribers can add to in their August box.

Unlike other monthly boxes, the FabFitFun box is shipped quarterly, with one box for every season, and more products per box (making their boxes a bit more costly than the average subscription box). Each box varies slightly from customer-to-customer, and comes with an array of handpicked fitness gear, beauty finds, clothing items and healthy snacks for that particular season. Their summer box is available now.

Similar to Ipsy, Birchbox subscribers can also customize their boxes by creating a Beauty Profile, which Birchbox uses to curate their boxes each month. That means that your box will be totally different from another subscriber’s, because it’s based on your beauty needs. Subscribers can also customize their own box by choosing a specific sample, or adding full-sized products that will ship with their box.
