The Beauty Looks from Toronto Fashion Week You Need to Copy—NOW

Toronto Fashion Week came and went in what was a frenzy of dazzling prints, daring cuts, superb street style, and expertly quaffed hairstyles. But the biggest take away (besides the clothes) was definitely the makeup. Each designer had their models rock a different beauty look for their runway appearance; here’s how to copy all of them.

House of Suri

Skin is in—we saw House of Suri models wearing fresh, barely-there makeup with slicked back hairstyles and nude lips. The focus really was on the models’ glowing, fresh, lit-from within skin.

Get the look by applying a layer of Marc Jacobs’ Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter under, or in place of, your foundation for a radiant glow.

Narces

Models of Narces rocked 90s-style thin eyebrows, a sunken-in dark eyeshadow, and perfect-for-fall dark, vampy lips. Narces contrasted the look with soft, retro curls.

Recreate the bold look with Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in “Witches.”

Hayley Elsaesser

Models of Hayley Elsaesser walked the runway in electric blue lips, paired with a hot pink eyeshadow around the eyes, and unkempt, sun-bleached tresses.

Get the look with Tarte’s Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in “Fairytale.”

UNTTLD

UNTTLD saw models with Twiggy-style, spidery long lashes, and hair scraped close to the scalp and pulled back from the face. The models also sported feathery, unkempt brows, and kept lip colours light, for an overall look of youth.

Get the spidery lash look by applying some falsies—our favourite is Huda Beauty’s Classic False Lashes in “Lana #10.”

Lucian Matis

Lucian Matis kept things simple with models’ beauty looks. The models walked the runway with bleached brows, very light lips, and a softer take on the slicked-back hairstyle. Lucian Matis included a sweep of eyeshadow around the eyes on all of the models, in a colour just a few shades darker than their natural eyelid colour.

Get the look by applying foundation/concealer over the brows, and make the eyes pop with a sweep of Urban Decay’s “Laced” eyeshadow.

Bustle

Bustle models rocked the ultimate cool-girl look; models wore loose, beachy waves with a subtle smokey eye, and a flattering nude lip.

For a super easy smokey eye, apply Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick Eye Colour in “Tuxedo” along the top lash line and smudge outwards.
